Outfit 03.22.2009 – Twilight

So I finally watched TWILIGHT at my gurl Simone’s crib yesterday with Michelle, Jessica and Victoria. Simone was all prepared, she had the GQ with Robert Pattinson on the cover out, apples, pizza/ravioli, “lion” ribs, cookies and red velvet cupcakes. I think the movie was pretty good but not to a point where I’m obsessive over it (at least not yet). At the moment I’m not even interested in reading the book, may be I’ll have to watch it again since I got distracted quite a few times during the movie (ahem crazy gurls haha). But I have to admit that Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) is a hottie, he is super seductive and really cute when he smiles. Edward was definitely the highlight of the movie, his awkardness makes him super cute! Overall the movie was pretty good since I have a fascination with vampire and fantasy movies. Ever since I’ve watched Tropic Thunder about a month ago, July 16th to be exact- I’ve been itching to watch it AGAIN! I never watched a movie twice in such a short period of time, let alone at the theater twice!! The movie was so good I had to watch it AGAIN and it was just as funny as the first time, I can seriously watch it again haha! Earlier this week I brought my gurl Minya to watch the screening with me, courtesy of Mark Kwan and DreamWorks, as we walked in to the screening he handed us a bottle of Booty Sweat! We were both dying in the movie, Minya loved it too! You can actually cop Alpa Chino’s Booty Sweat at Amazon.com, I think I need a case just because…

Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time and the best comedy movie so far- mad surprises, so don’t miss out on this one! The movie opened today, go watch it!!! If you guys watch it, let me know what you think of the movie!!

Outfit 07.17.2008 – Mamma Mia! Screening

It was such a nice day yesterday I couldn’t stay in the office for lunch so I met up with B to grab a bite. As we were walking I’ve gotten so many comments about my Darkhorse “EAT MY PUCCI” tee I’ve lost count haha, I kinda expected it when I put it on in the morning but didn’t know it was that crazy. The best comment was, “What does your shirt say, EAT MY WHAT? PUCCI? I’m a professional PUCCI EATER!” OMG that was the funniest line I’ve heard in a long time, we were both cracking up the whole time, just thinking back cracks me up. Of course I told all my friends later and they all died too haha! I LUV THIS TEE, Andrew I suggest your next tee to say, “PROFESSIONAL PUCCI EATER” haha!

After work I met up with my buddy Mark and Aileen to watch the screening of Mamma Mia! (courtesy of Mark), the film version of the smash Broadway musical. When Aileen got there she messaged me and told me there was long line, I didn’t expect it to be too crazy. When I got there it was nuts, I didn’t think Mamma Mia! was that popular- lucky I never have to wait especially since I wasn’t too crazy about watching the movie in the first place but Aileen wanted to. The movie was surprisingly really good, it definitely pleased the crowd- a lot of people were clapping, singing and laughing. Meryl Streep plays Donna Sheridan, she’s very vibrant, young and energetic in the movie, an opposite of her role in The Devil Wears Prada (which I loved as well), she’s simply amazing! The musical was great very upbeat and posed an energetic vibe, the characters were charasmatic and funny. If you’re looking for something aside from the superhero, comic-book movies then this is movie will put a grin on your face. The movie is in theaters now!

Outfit 07.16.2008 – Tropic Thunder Screening

Met up with my friend Helen for lunch yesterday to catch up and brought my dog Cookie to the vet also. When I walk my dogs or bring them out to the vet, I never like to bring too much stuff and also I always need to bring a shoulder bag or tote. The reason is my dog Cookie is like a wild horse, he pulls me so I’ll need as little things as possible haha. My arm is still aching haha!

Afterwards met up with B to watch the Tropic Thunder screening, courtesy of my buddy Mark Kwan, that’s right the movie is not in theaters till August 13th! I’ve been dying to see this movie ever since I’ve seen the posters awhile back, just seeing Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black was enough to get me to watch it, I don’t even need to know what’s it about. I got even more hyped after watching the skit they did on the MTV Movie Awards 2008, it was hilarious! But when I found out more about the movie, that my *crush* Robert Downey Jr. went through plastic surgery to change his features and pigmented his skin to appear black (in the movie for the movie) you know it’s gonna be funny haha. I’m not going to say too much but this movie is AMAZING, super duper funny and full of surprises, the whole theater couldn’t keep quiet haha- I normally never watch a movie twice at the theaters but this one I definitely can! It’s mamamammaaaaaaad funny, hahaha! MUST WATCH!!!

Met up with Ada to watch Sex and the City: The Movie (finally!) today, the movie was ok perhaps I expected more. I liked the Vogue bridal photo shoot scene, the wedding gowns were gorgeous and Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) looked so confident she shined! Another scene I really liked was when Carrie hopped on the train to surprise Miranda at her Chinatown apt rockin’ her pjs, a mink paired with hot ankle boots, that was so sweet! Oh yea SJP has such an nice body!!

I usually like to watch girlie flicks with my girlfriends, its much more fun! I had fun spending quality time with my gurl Ada today, did you guys watch the movie yet?

Went to the Jordan Brand Holiday 2008 Editor’s Preview today, not much women’s stuff but there was a dope black patent leather backpack that I was digging and the two pairs of Jordan 1 Retro High (Girls) colorways were nice too. As always, the good peeps at JB hooked up a gift, the Mars Blackmon Messenger/Laptop Bag for the guests. Stay tuned for updates.

After work Mark invited me and B to watch the screening of Hellboy II: The Golden Army. I went to the screening not knowing what the movie was about since I’ve never seen the first one and also not knowing a single thing about the comic book character neither but I like fantasy and comic book movies so I went. The movie was ok, there were a few scenes that were funny but the most interesting part is the director, Guillermo del Toro’s creatures. The anatomy of the creatures are super weird, funny looking, freakish, creepy and just bizarre but I thought they were very very imaginative. One cute but ferocious character was the “tooth fairies” don’t let the name fool you, they’ll devour you down to the bone- they feed on calcium (eek)! That’s as much as I’ll tell, the movie opens tomorrow, July 11, 2008.
