A friend of mine sent me a nice pair of Aldo “Smeal” studded sandals last week, I wanted to wear them out immediately because they’re super sexy but of course the weather doesn’t permit in NYC! These remind me of my studded flat sandals I bought from Hong Kong, these sandals are killer! I love the wide ankle strap and two smaller straps under it, anything studded I seem to be fascinated with at the moment. A gurl can never get enough shoes. I’ll definitely be rockin’ these babies out a lot when the weather gets warmer, I can’t wait till spring/summer! Hotness!

A surprise package arrived last week and guess what it was?! Yup, the much talked about Nylon Magazine x Nike Sportswear Dunk High in yellow!! I was getting a bit envious when I spotted a chick rockin’ the yellow pair after the Donna Karan show and then Mark “The Cobrasnake” showing off his green pair at the Erin Wasson x RVCA presentation but now I don’t have to be. The Dunks seems to be available in both women’s and men’s sizes (I got a women’s size), we can see now that not only are the nylon hightops emblazoned with Nylon’s logo on the tongue and outer side of the upper which is 3M, but also on the insole. At first I thought there were only two colorways, pink and green, then the yellow popped up- if this is a pattern with the Nylon logo perhaps there will be an orange and blue pair? Not quite sure about that as of yet, not much details were given as they’re trying to keep it top secret! The Dunks won’t be available until June 2009, they are hot hot hot! So I guess I’m a “cool girl” after all haha j/k, big thanks to D for the hotness!

For most of you that follow my blog already know that I have a pair of these JS by Jessica Simpson “Lee” Pumps in infrared and that I’m quite obsessed with them. I’ve been rockin’ the hell out of the infrared joints, but now I have an extra pair of turquoise to play around with. These babies are a custom colorway so I’m not sure if they’ll ever be released. Let’s just hope yes, because they’re just too hot not to. DSW stocks the Lee in patent blue, brown and black if you’re in need of a pair. I really like this particular style, goes with almost everything I have, I wouldn’t mind having every color in these! They’re actually pretty comfy too considering they’re 4″, the platform does the trick. Thanks to my friend Carl for the hotness!

Last week on nitro:licious I posted about the live mannequins posing with the new Sony VAIO P-Series Lifestyle PC in high-traffic areas throughout Manhattan dressed in ThreeASFOUR, Elise Overland, Katy Rodriguez and Libertine outfits. I have yet to see the live mannequins in person but I’m definitely going to lookout for them, they look amazing!

Since I’ve started covering New York Fashion Week last season, I’ve wanted to blog on the go but it was pretty much impossible to lug around my laptop along with my shoes and rush to the shows and events for the whole day. I tried it once but I would never do it again! But my problem seem to have resolved, I just got the world’s lightest 8″ notebook, courtesy of Sony. The laptop weighs 1.4-pound which is nothing compared to my old one- it’s all about mobility! I got the SSD model since it was slightly lighter, silent and it has no moving parts so its less fragile- I can be clumsy at times especially on the go.

The Lifestyle PC is small enough to fit into a clutch/handbag, can easily slip into a jacket pocket, and the best thing is it doesn’t add much weight to my “already heavy” bag! I was debating on the black or red but went with red since it was more luscious and girlie- I’ve also got a matching case to protect it from scratches. The laptop is super glossy which is very striking and stylish, I would totally just walk around with it. There are four color choices: red, black, white and green, the colors were inspired by the crystalline shimmer of natural gemstones. The mouse nub takes a little time to get used to, it is very sensitive but after a while I got adjusted to it. The battery life is pretty good too, it is estimated to last up to 4 hours so I’ll have a good amount of time to do some webcam chats, IM, blog and/or edit photos while I’m waiting around.

I have just been playing around with it at home and have yet to take the laptop out for a test run but I will be putting it to test during fashion week and will report back! So far I’m loving it, its so hot!

A nice package was dropped off at my doorsteps this past weekend, inside was a “suitcase” holding a pair of Nike x Coraline Dunk with movie props- the best thing is its in my size. These dope Dunks were made to celebrate Laika’s (Nike CEO Phil Knight’s studio) first full-length animated film, Coraline, a story by Neil Gaiman and directed by Henry Selick (the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas). Taking the handcrafted style of the film as inspiration, this special edition features a unique hand sewn black visible seam on the upper ensuring each pair is unique. The hidden detail is the glow-in-the-dark sole which reflects the film’s sense of curiosity. The props were made by the Laika artist and are hand painted, there are only 50 mouse and cat heads and they are 1 of 50 as each cat mouth is unique. For the film 100,000 cat mouths were created to show the cats expression and make it talk. Only 50 were used on these dunks and every one is different. The mouse and cat tails double as protection against jean stains, well at least Rob Heppler thinks so haha! Check the little hat prop, so cute! Super dope dunks, love all the props- these are so going on display! Big thanks to Rob Heppler and the Wieden + Kennedy 12 crew!

It was a “white” weekend this past weekend, it was all about the snow. I felt bad for Lanie (Hellz Bellz) that flew in on Friday- she got caught in the storm and was stuck at the airport for over 5 hours due to a delay! But despite all that, she made it to NYC and we finally caught up on Saturday at the Pepsi Pop Up Retail Shop in New York! She blessed me with her new Hellz Bellz No Frontin’ Bomber Jacket in red from her “Born Bad” Collection, thanks Lanie, I love it! I also met Annie (Cubannie Links) and Samantha (FRUITION) in person, we’ve been chatting on email forever but finally- great meeting you guys! And of course I stopped to say hello to Vashtie (Violette), we chit chatted for a bit then I went off to grab a bite before the afterparty. Couldn’t miss the afterparty because N.O.R.E. was performing, he was good, the party was good! More pics from the event at nitro:licious!

Christmas came early, thanks to Vanessa from Coach for sending over this fab Black Sabrina Patent Large Satchel! I’ve been using it for the past two days, since you know I love big bags its roomy enough for all my stuff (my life) and matches just about everything I wear. And the crinkle patent leather is something I don’t own in my bag family yet, a great edition its really nice. Another feature is the convertible strap that snaps to bottom of the bag when carried as a satchel can be released and transformed into a shoulder bag. Loves it! More pics over at nitro:licious!
